A very non-profit group recognized as one of the area's most prestigious technical societies, with monthly chapter meetings held in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

President and Program Director
Voted unanimously to serve as president - a lifetime position. As program chairperson, responsible for booking, coordinating, and advertising all monthly presentations designed to educate our members on topics relevant to Unix. Under my leadership:

ˇ Membership doubled in size.
ˇ Established Los Angeles chapter in January 2000.
ˇ Average attendance tripled in LA since 2000, in large part due to my popularity as master of ceremonies.
ˇ Secured locations for monthly meetings.
ˇ Established strong partner in high-tech giant Sun Microsystems which now hosts both the LA and OC chapter meetings.
ˇ In first year of presidency, Orange County chapter average meeting attendance more than doubled.
ˇ Speakers for both chapters, 24 per year in all, now booked six months in advance.
ˇ Speakers all top-notch, making UUASC popular attraction among area techies, and respected by all local user groups.
ˇ Serve as a constant source of assistance for members with Unix questions and problems on the email list designated for technical issues.
ˇ Responsible for moderating the email list dedicated to UNIX employment opportunities, which distributes ads from technical recruiters to our members.

Tapped by USENIX officials to help organize and promote USENIX '05 conference held in Southern California. The USENIX conferences have become the essential meeting grounds fo r the presentation and discussion of the most advanced information on the develo pments of all aspects of computing systems.

Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America
The world's largest Orthodox Jewish organization - a leader in world Jewry with programs serving hundreds of thousands of adults, youths, the deaf, and the learning impaired; and its famous OU kosher symbol proudly displayed on tens of thousands of food product labels.

Senior Field Rabbi
As one of two regional staff rabbis jointly responsible for kosher supervision of all OU-certified food manufacturing facilities in the Western U.S., and Mexico:
ˇ Regularly inspected more than 200 sites in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii, assuring all ingredients, equipment, and procedures adhered to strict Jewish dietary laws.
ˇ Provided kosher food tours at local supermarkets that were broadcast on local television.
ˇ Fielded inquiry telephone calls from consumers on the OU kosher foods hotline.
ˇ Considered by OU executives to be a devoted worker with impeccable honesty who can be trusted in all situations.
ˇ Saved the organization thousands of dollars by consolidating inspection routes.

Senior Member Technical Staff
Recognized by senior management as a valued team player with tremendous leadership qualities, people skills, and work ethic. Here is a few of my accomplishments:

Leader of an account's multi-platform team
ˇ Representatives from each of the various technical frameworks unanimously chose me as the group leader for our weekly site meetings. Under my leadership, all decisions were reached by consensus, and acted upon as a team. Praised by management for my work as team leader.

Liaison to difficult customers
ˇ Chosen by management to serve as the point of contact representing CSC to some of the most difficult customers. Secured numerous commendation letters from CSC's customers.

Workflow process auditor
ˇ Assigned by management to conduct independent study in which I diagrammed how a specific account's customer service process worked, determined at each level whether policies and procedures were followed, and determined where the system was failing.

Fiscal asset
ˇ Saved CSC thousands of dollars by completing high profile projects ahead of schedule.
